Dev Blog WE 23/11/2014
23/11/14 12:39
We decided to create a devBlog every Sunday of the previous weeks work. Of course we only started tracking our time from yesterday, so this devBlog will be very short :) - but hopefully it will start to give you an insight into the regular goings on in a indie games studio.
Note some information is abridged as it would take way to long to document everything :)
Software Purchases
In the course of creating this blog and ensuring we can accurately track what we are spending our time on, it was important to purchase the required software to allow us to do this. So we purchased a very simple app from the iTunes store called Timecop which tracks time against projects. We also found that we had to upgrade our web creation software - RapidWeaver to the latest version so that we can take advantage of the latest features that will be required to support our website going forward. Finally as part of our tools investigation, we have purchased a monthly subscription to the Unreal Engine. We are going to be checking out his software to see if it can be of any help in the future… knowing what different tools can deliver is very important to ensure you are using the right software for the right job.
Time Spent
Saturday was mainly a maintenance day, getting ready to sort out our timing/projects. It was a bit of a spring clean to put us back on the right track.

Additional Notes
This week we also filled in an application form for additional funding to help us with one of our projects, we also continued to work on our game projects. We have three games currently in production at different stages for the sake of this blog, until the games have been announced in more detail, they will be called Project A, B and C.
